Mynt Enterprise (Auphan)
If you are receiving an error when attempting to process credit card transactions, please use the following directions to fix this issue. If you have multiple POS stations and pin pads, you will need to go through this fix on each system.
- On your pin pad (or credit card reader), press the Blue “F” key and the number 1 key at the same time.
- The pin pad will prompt for a password. If you have not changed the password, it should be one of the following defaults. If none of these passwords work, please contact the company you purchased the pin pad from for further assistance.
- Today’s date, in the format MMDDYYYY. For example, if it is September 10th 2020 would be you would enter “09102020” as the password.

- Now that you are logged into the pin pad, press the down arrow once, and then tap on “2. Communication”
- Enter the same password that was used in step 2.
- Press the down arrow twice, and then tap on “ECR Comm. Type”
- Tap on “4. Ethernet”
- Press the green button on the pin pad. You do not need to change the port number.
- Tap on “2. HTTP GET”
- Press the down arrow twice, tap on “1. LAN Parameters”
- Tap on LAN Type
- Tap on Static
- Tap on IP Address
- Press the red button once to clear what is currently entered.
- Use the number buttons to enter the numbers that are displayed in the error message on the POS system.
- When entering a single- or double-digit number, you will need to enter 0s before the number.
- For example, if the error on the POS is displaying 10.1.1.152, you would enter 010 001 001 152.
- Once the number in the pin pad matches what is being shown on the POS, press the green button.
- Now press the red button 4 times to return to the main screen.
- Try and run another credit card transaction. If you still have issues running transactions, please contact Mynt support.
Mynt Pro
If you are receiving an error message when attempting to process credit card transactions, please use the following directions to fix this issue. If you have multiple POS stations and pin pads, you will need to go through this fix on each system.
- Log into the POS with a manager’s account.
- Tap on Setup in the top right corner.
- Tap on Utilities, and then PAX Settings
- This screen shows how the POS system is trying to communicate with your PAX pin pad. Leave this screen open while we log into your pin pad to change a few settings. Later on we will need some of the information on this screen
- On your pin pad (or credit card reader), press the Blue “F” key and the number 1 key at the same time.
- The pin pad will prompt for a password. If you have not changed the password, it should be one of the following defaults. If none of these passwords work, please contact the company you purchased the pin pad from for further assistance.
- Today’s date, in the format MMDDYYYY. For example, if it is September 10th 2020 would be you would enter “09102020” as the password.

- The ports should default to 10009, just like your what is shown in the POS under Destination PORT. If they do not match, change the port in the PAX device to match what is showing on your POS system.
- For the protocol type, select the protocol that is showing on your POS system. This is typically TCP/IP, but if you POS is showing HTTP, you will want to select that on the pin pad.
- Now press on the down arrow twice, and then tap on “1. LAN Parameters”.
- Tap on LAN Type
- Tap on Static
- Tap on IP Address
- Press the red button once to clear what is currently entered.
- Use the number buttons to enter the numbers that are displayed in the Destination IP field on the POS screen.
- When entering a single- or double-digit number, you will need to enter 0s before the number.
- For example, if the number on the POS is displaying 10.1.1.152, you would enter 010 001 001 152.
- Once the number in the pin pad matches what is being shown on the POS, press the green button.
- Now press the red button 4 times to return to the main screen.
- Try and run another credit card transaction. If you still have issues running transactions, please contact Mynt support.
Mynt Retail (CAP)
If you are unable to process credit cards, and getting a connect error in your POS software, please use the following directions to fix the issue. If you have multiple POS stations and pin pads, you will need to go through this fix on each system.
- On your pin pad (or credit card reader), press the Blue “F” key and the number 1 key at the same time.
- The pin pad will prompt for a password. If you have not changed the password, it should be one of the following defaults. If none of these passwords work, please contact the company you purchase the pin pad from for further assistance.
- Today’s date, in the format MMDDYYYY. For example, if it is September 10th 2020 would be you would enter “09102020” as the password.
